Google recently released a new update for its former flagship phone, the Nexus 5. This will take the firmware to build version MRA58N. even though it’s still based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, numerous bug fixes and stability improvements come with it. As the Marshmallow is a new Android version, bugs are normal and Google releases new updates to its Nexus series with all the feedback it receives from the users.
The OTA update can be installed directly from the software Updates option in about Phone. However, for those who have rooted their firmware or installed a customized recovery may not receive the update. thus flashing a factory image is a possible option unless you have a boot image that will allow OTA updates.
In purchase to flash the most recent available firmware on your Nexus device and restore your device to stock, you will need to setup ADB and fastboot and simply run a bat file and it’s done. Here, we have noted the most recent factory image available for the Google Nexus 5 GSM/LTE. With this tutorial, you can flash practically any version of the factory image on your device. As a reminder, this procedure will wipe all your apps, data and restore everything to stock. thus backup everything before you proceed.
