iOS 8.2 Jailbreak: TaiG team Speaks Up On progress

With iOS 8.2 users fervently waiting for a jailbreak, it was expected that TaiG would be revealing its jailbreak tool this Friday at the Mobile safety and security Summit, but that hasn’t happened. TaiG has made an announcement on its current progress after some brief silence, so head over the jump for much more on that.

According to TaiG, all rumors about the team having already released an iOS 8.2 jailbreak tool are false, because the team is yet to release it. “But at present, rumors about TaiG Jailbreak team has already released the iOS 8.2 Jailbreak tool were spreading in the Internet. any information outside of TaiG Jailbreak team official news channel ought to not be trusted,” says the TaiG jailbreak team.

There were speculations about Apple patching up exploits in the iOS 8.1.3 and 8.2 updates, which made these releases pretty difficult to crack using the existing vulnerabilities that TaiG had been using up till iOS 8.1.2. While there were apparent bug fixes included with these updates, Apple had went on record to publicly mention that it had patched exploits in iOS 8.1.3 and 8.2 needed by the Pangu8, TaiG and PP jailbreaks to work their magic. much more so, the Mac maker went one step ahead and even patched up some of the vulnerabilities discovered by i0n1c – aka Stefan Esser.

There were plenty of warnings by jailbreak developers to avoid updating their Apple mobile devices to iOS 8.1.3 or 8.2, if jailbreak was a priority, but we’re sure there are plenty of users caught up with newest updates wishing for a jailbreak service to break through any moment now. following up to MSS 2015 in Beijing this Friday, the TaiG team had not sent out a single tweet possibly in an effort to avoid incessant jailbreak requests, and it was rumored that the team would announce the tool at the venue.

However, the TaiG team has now broken its silence, issuing a statement saying: “The purpose of this summit was to create a platform for world top jailbreak developer to have an open communication, and then prepare for the better untethered jailbreak in the future.” The team even more added: “The development and release of a jailbreak tool was restricted to several factors, however what TaiG Jailbreak team wanted is to release the jailbreak of iOS 8.2 as soon as possible.”

The full post by TaiG reads as follows:

With work currently in progress by the TaiG jailbreak team, and iOS 8.3 expected to release next month ahead of Apple view launch, it’s safe to say now that we won’t have a new jailbreak release until iOS 8.3 at the earliest.

We hope to hear much more on the development in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
